- Abstract
- High frequency (15 – 50 MHz) ultrasound is widely used in preclinical imaging. Convex or phased array transducers may translate acoustic beams electronically, change the focal points with transmit beamforming and provide a wide field of view by a curved aperture or steered beams. High definition ultrasound imaging with convex or phased arrays is being explored to expand its applications not only in preclinical imaging but also in clinical imaging.
