- Abstract
- A bright and photostable near-infrared (NIR) emitting quantum dot (CO glass was prepared. The solidification of PbS/CdS core/shell QD-layered double hydroxide (LDH) composites in an arsenic trisulfide glass matrix for >200 h under continuous ultraviolet irradiation produced a photostable NIR-emitting glass. The QD-LDH glass could be successfully applied to optical fibers for down conversion and can be used for promising potential applications such as optical fiber amplifiers.
