- Abstract
- The effects of organic additives on enzymatic hydrolysis of racemic ibuprofen methyl ester were investigated using Candida cylindracea lipase. Several polar solvents such as N,N-dimethylformamide, formaldehyde, and formamide were found to enhance the enantioselectivity of the enzyme. The effects of temperature on enzyme selectivity were also examined.
