Abstract
We report theoretical studies of the optical conductivity and the density of states (DOS) for the magnetic polaron model obtained by using the Monte-Carlo method incorporating the exact diagonalization. Both the optical conductivity and the DOS show clear and consistent evidence for the pseudogap formation in the magnetic polaron state. We have discussed the significant effects of the pseudogap formation on the transport properties in magnetic polaron systems. (C) 2006 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.
