- Abstract
- La0.8Sr0.2CrO3, for use as an interconnect material for solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) applications, can be fabricated via a number of different routes, including slip casting. This work examines the effect of the various slip compositions on the integrity of the green ceramic. with only the successful slips being sintered, The most successful slip composition was 2 wt% KDI(TM) dispersant, 8 wt% poly vinyl-butyral binder, and 8 wt% plasticiser (50:50 volume mixture of di-n-butyl phthalate: polyethylene glycol), in a 31% toluene:69% 2-propanol solvent system, producing a sintered body with over 96% theoretical density, when sintered at 1600 degrees C.
