- Abstract
- Superplasticity of duplex stainless steel have been investigated in the framework of internal variable theory.. Observation of deformed microstructure suggested that the major deformation mechanism of duplex stainless steel at high temperature is found to be dynamic recrystallization(DRX) and grain/phase boundary sliding at the early and later stage of deformation, respectively. Precipitaion of hard chi phases appears to improve the superplastic characteristics.
