Abstract
The tensile behavior of ultra-fine grain (UFG) pure Ti fabricated by equal channel angular pressing was investigated at ambient temperature. UFG pure Ti exhibited a significant improvement in yield strength with an absence of strain hardening behavior compared to coarse-grained sample. The dislocation based model was used to discuss the tensile characteristics of UFG pure Ti. (c) 2006 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
