Abstract
We have synthesized (S)-(+)-ibuprofen-based hydrogelators that feature dipeptide linkages. In aqueous media, one of these hydrogelators formed robust gels that were stable for several months. Enzyme-mediated hydrolysis offers a route toward the sustained release of this anti-inflammatory agent. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
