- Abstract
- The neutron total cross sections of polyethylene and Cu have been measured using the 100-MeV electron linear accelerator in order to study the possibility to produce nuclear data at the Pohang Neutron Facility. The neutron transmission measurement was made by the neutron time-of-flight method. The present results are in good agreement with the evaluated data in ENDF/B-VI within their uncertainties at all energy regions. From this study, it is to be noted here that the our neutron facility is suited for nuclear data production, and that the facility can be provided as a user facility for a study of neutron interaction with nuclei.
