Abstract
Nowadays the efficient energy management in the operation of some sizable industrial plants such as a steel mill became more crucial for the competency of the products in the market. Following this technical trend, this study focused on practical design processes to get the base case design of energy recovery system from the EAF flue gas flow. With a progress in each phase, the designs have been developed, compared, examined and screened by stake holders’ requirements, constraints and criteria in respect of health, safety and environments, economic feasibility, and hazards & operability. For energy targeting and comparison of HRSG system alternatives, Pinch Analysis Method was utilized. For design optimization of each components of HRSG system, Commercial fluid flow analyzer FLOWMASTER was used.
