- Abstract
- The deformation behaviour of pure copper single crystals has been investigated by scanning electron microscopy and synchrotron radiation using the in situ reflection Laue method. Two types of sample with the same orientation of tensile axes, but with different crystallographic orientations in the directions of the width and thickness of the samples, have been studied. They showed different characteristics of deformation behaviour, such as the activated slip systems, the movement of the tensile axis, and the mode of fracture.
