- Abstract
- We investigated the longitudinal sawtooth instability in an isochronous electron storage ring with a very small slippage factor. Simulations of the longitudinal sawtooth instability were performed by employing a multi-particle tracking method. A broad-band impedance model was applied to investigate the longitudinal beam dynamics in the isochronous storage ring. The dependences of the sawtooth instability and longitudinal phase space on the parameters of the isochronous storage ring were also investigated.
