- Biosensor developments have brought the improvements in academic and industrial fields. Biosensors based on thermal method have been studied a lot but most of them are biosensor based on a calorimeter. 3 omega method is one of the powerful methods to detect the thermal properties of small volume of sample. It has a simple structure, high performance and high sensitivity, but there？fs no study of 3 omega method as a biosensor. In this study, I studied the feasibility of 3 omega method as biosensors by integrating 3 omega method into two different biochemical detecting systems. In droplet characterizing system, 3 omega method was used as a biosensor which can characterize the droplet contents, protein concentration of droplet, in microfluidic system. In vesicle detecting system, a 3 omega method biosensor determined the concentration of bionanosome which is similar material with vesicle on the surface successfully. Not only in these applications, but 3 omega method can also be used as a biosensor in many other applications. 3 omega method biosensor is not the most powerful biosensor, but still due to its own advantages, in many applications it can be used popularly. In near future, developed 3 omega method biosensors are also expected to contribute the academic and industrial improvement like did other biosensor.
