Abstract
Abstract Organic TFT-based pressure sensors that mimic the tactile sensing of human skin are promising candidates for wearable electronic skin (E-skin) technologies that include human-machine interfaces, health monitoring devices, and advanced prosthesis. Here, we introduce a flexible pressure-sensitive contact transistor (PCT), which is a new type of pressure-sensing device that is based on an organic TFTs. The device with ultralow power consumption (down to order of 101 nW) and high sensitivity on a biocompatible flexible Parylene substrate make the PCT promising candidate for next-generation wearable electronic skin devices.
