- New materials combining MOF-74 with Graphene Oxide was synthesized, to study adsorption properties for CO2. Graphene Oxide was added to solution containing Co-MOF-74 precursor by different weight percentage, 2%, 5%, and 10%, in order to investigate effects of composition ratio in structure formation and CO2 adsorption. Composite of Ni-MOF-74 and graphene oxide was also studied. XRD and SEM analysis show that crystal structures of MOF-74 were remained even GO was mixed together in synthesis, forming stacked structure of MOF-74 and GO. However, opposite to our expectation, these Co-MOF-74 with GO composite shows less surface areas (1085.4, 1012.7, 901.1, and 581.8m2g-1 for Co-MOF-74, Co-MOF-74/ GO 2%, Co-MOF-74/ GO5%, and Co-MOF-74/ GO 10%, respectively) with decreased adsorption amount and isosteric heat of adsorption for CO2. Ni-MOF-74/GO 5% also shows less surface area (797.8 m2g-1 and for Ni-MOF-74, 1098.7 m2g-1). With decreased CO2 adsorption amount.
